Welcome to the University of Navarra and to Economics (marketing)!

 Welcome, students, to Economics (marketing)!

It has been called the dismal science by people who don't understand how interesting it can be. We will explore topics that affect people's daily lives and that are in the news -- unemployment, inflation (deflation), austerity programs, the dollar vs. the euro, China's impact, immigration, how the Global Financial Crisis of 2008 and the covid-19 pandemic have affected you, your family, your community, Spain, and the rest of the world.
We will learn how to read business and economic news. By the end of this course, you should be able to impress your friends and family with your ability to talk knowledgeably about the topic.
You will do research and writing on related topics, and in groups you will develop projects on economic topics.
This blog will be used to post reading and homework assignments. You will post your homework assignments to the ADI system.
Be sure to get your ADI password (and don't forget it!). If you need help, people from the Information Technology department will be posted in the lobby of the FCOM building to help you.
I look forward to working with you, and Good Luck!

Prof. B.
